Pop the dots

Eye trackers during the last 20 years have had the same approach, ask users to look at stimuli points for a period in order to calibrate the individuals eyes. Tobii’s initiative for pushing Eye Tracking to the consumer space required a more engaging style of calibration. 2015 is when Pop the dots was born. I designed and implemented large parts of the now gold standard for static stimuli calibration that is to this day (2020) still being used.

The principal behind is to give users control and while calibrating provide an unique interactive experience.
